All Saia PCD® controllers are suitable to use as a controller for E-Line modules.
The Saia PCD1.M0160E0 is recommended as a head-end station due to the compatible design.
Saia PCD1.M0160E0 (E-Controller):
The programmable E-Controller is a compact device. The
E-Controller is suitable for installation in electrical distributors or in confined spaces, as the design
is compatible with electrical control cabinets. The PCD1.M0160E0 provides I/Os that are already
integrated, Web+IT functions and integrated interfaces and additional options for linking different
protocols. This controller is therefore ideal as a small controller, communication gateway (e.g.
EnOcean, KNX, BACnet…) or for recording, logging and processing consumption data.

Installation notes and recommendations
Mounting in the electrical distributor:
The Saia PCD1.M0160E0 has dimensions of 142 × 142 × 61 mm without terminals
and connections. A distance of 55 mm above and 75 mm below the DIN rail is recommended for faultless mounting.
Ethernet cable:
An angled or flexible network cable (for example, SlimWire PRO) is recommended for installation in the
sub-distributor. The mounting of the cover for the sub-distributor cannot be guaranteed if a conventional network cable
has been installed.
The PCD1.M0/PCD1.M2 controllers and
PCD2.M5-, PCD3.M3/5/6 CPUs as well as
the programmable Micro Browser panel
PCD7.D4xxxT5F can be used as head-end
stations.
Here, the controller can process higher-level
control processes and gather, process and
visualise data and form the interface to the
control level.
