PG5 2.3 parts

S – Service Online Tools (Does not require a license)

The S - Service Online Tools are a subset of the PG5 installation. It is for customer and service personal that only need up- or downloading a built PG5 project to a PCD.

The S - Service Online Tools consist of:

 

Data Transfer (It is an application for saving and loading a PCD's data values (Register, Flag, Timer, Counter, Input/Output, Text and Data Block) to and from text files (.dt5))

Firmware Downloader (This utility allows you to download the firmware in all PCD’s that have firmware in flash. It also supports downloading the BACnet configuration.)

Online Configurator (It allows the connected PCD's hardware and communications to be configured online. It also has functions for displaying information from the PCD, uploading/downloading programs and data, controlling the device (Run/Stop/Restart), and even for downloading new firmware into the PCD.)

Online Debugger (It is a powerful online debugger for testing and configuring Saia PCD Instruction List programs. It is a 'stand-alone' application which does not need the PG5 Project Manager. If opened from Project Manager, it uses the online settings of the selected device.)

 

Note that all these tools are part of PG5 (included in the PG5 Controls Suite DVD). In case PG5 is already installed, the installation of the S - Service Online Tools won't have any effect.

S – Web Editor5 

The S – Web Editor 5.15.0221 or later can e.g. be used for modifying the S-Energy Manager Web project.

Note that the S-Web Editor5 is part of PG5 (included in the PG5 Controls Suite DVD). In case PG5 is already installed, the installation of the S – Web Editor won't have any effect

The S – Web Editor 8.0.18.365 or later can e.g. be used for modifying the S-Energy Manager Web project.

Note that the S-Web Editor8 is part of PG5 (included in the PG5 Controls Suite DVD). In case PG5 is already installed, the installation of the S – Web Editor won't have any effect

Wiring check tool

A new tool for the verification of inputs and outputs named ‘Wiring Check tool’ has been developed.
This tool is intended for technicians and electricians who must check the connections inside an electrical cabinet or the connections of the final installation upon commissioning.
This tool is easy to use and doesn’t require any PG5 knowledge.

Easy Update tools

The Easy Update tools where created to simplify the download of the PCD program, device firmware and the webpages to the PCD.

 

The PG5 Easy update Tools consist of 2 applications:

The 'Easy Update Wizard' and the 'Easy Update' tool.

 

Both tools doesn’t need to have PG5 installed on the PC

 

The 'Easy Update Wizard' allows the PG5 programmer to create from a PG5 project a *.saiaupd image file which contains:

  • PG5 device configuration settings
  • PG5 application program
  • PCD/MB firmware
  • Web-Editor Project
  • Information where the PG5 application and the Web-Editor should be stored on the PCD/MB
  • Communication settings for the connection PC - PCD/MB
  • Service key
  • Password

 

 

The 'Easy Update' tool allows to the service engineer to load the *.sbcupd or *.saiaupd image file in to the PCD/MB-Panel, without the need to have PG5 installed on the PC.

 

The *.sbcupd or *.saiaupd images files contains the PCD firmware, the PG5 application program and the Web-Project.

 

The ‘Easy Update’ tool does perform an automatic reboot of the PCD/MB-Panel after the loading of the file.


E-Line RIO configuration App

The E-Line App does allow to configure the communication protocol on the RS485 of the E-Line RIO’s (S-Bus or Modbus) the baudrate and the parity and stop bit as the station number of the E-Line RIO device. The E-Line App does run on PC’s with Windows 7 and Windows 10 operation systems.

USB connection to the PCD1 E-Line RIO’s is required

 

BACnet explorer ‘BACeye’

The BACnet explorer ‘BACeye’ provides an overview in a BACnet network. ‘BACeye’ can be
connected to any BACnet network for easy analysis and switching and for testing events and alarms.

Easy Update Tool

Tool for the update the PG5 or e S-Monitoring application on the PCD/MB-Panel.

The Tools consist of 2 applications:
