Good to know
The module PCD7.R551M04 is no longer required as since firmware 1.16.27 it is possible to write the backup to a file system, see FAQ101622.
The PCD3 firmware does automatically execute a compression of the memory from time to time (triggered e.g. by a modified ratio of unused and used space on the flash module). During this compression task the file system is not accessible over FTP or the user program.
Note that during this compression task (taking up to several minutes) the PCD must not be switched off!
Analyzer
For analyzing FTP and HTTP communication or Ethernet communication in general, we recommend using the free software Wireshark (www.wireshark.org).
