Belimo MP Bus with Saia PCD®
-
Introduction
The Belimo MP Bus allows to connect actuator drives and sensors to a bus and simplify the cable work significantly for HeaVAC applications. With PCD2.F2810 (for PCD1.M2xx0 and PCD2.M5) and PCD3.F281 modules (for PCD3 systems) a PCD system can be connected to the MP Bus as master. These modules can be extended by a PCD7.F180 in order to add a second MP Bus line per module (up to 8 (16*1) devices can be connected to one MP Bus line).
A PCD2 or PCD3 can handle up to 64 (128*1) MP devices
The connection and the distribution of the addresses of the MP Bus devices is programmed in Fupla with a dedicated FBox library.

Good to know
*1: If on the same MP-Bus line only new MPL/MPX devices are used then it's possible to connect up to 16
devices on the same MP-Bus line. See the FAQ 102015 and 102016 for more details.
As soon as old MP-Bus devices are used then the maximum of devices is limited to 8 for each MP-Bus line.
The FBoxes for MP Bus are automatically installed with PG5 2.0 but need to be licensed.
For older systems the MP Bus modules PCD2.T500 and PCD7.F180 can be used.
