Introduction

 

All interfaces allow a direct connection to the DALI bus, programmed with FBoxes. The power supply for the DALI line is integrated and can optionally be disabled.

The extensive PG5 FBox library has function modules for commissioning, operating and servicing with the PLC program. External software tools or other components are not required. There is a sample project including a Webeditor visualisation available wich is helpful for the commissioning and the parameterization of a DALI-Line.

 

 

Module overview

Saia PCD1.F2611-C15

The freely programmable module with a housing width of 35 mm (2 HP) can be controlled via RS-485
and enable the direct control of 64 DALI subscribers. It has the DALI line as well as four digital inputs.
The user can implement the digital inputs to connect electrical sensors. The module is freely programmable
and can also be used as a “standalone” DALI small controller.

 

Saia PCD2/3.F26x

A PCD1.M2, PCD2.M5, PCD3.M as well as a PCD3.T666 can act as DALI Master using the according connection interface module PCD3.F261 or PCD2.F2610.

 

There exist the following module types to be plugged into PCD I/O slot 0..3:

Minimal PCD firmware is 1.20.xx. (for PCD2/3.F26x)

Minimal PCD firmware is 1.24.xx. (for PCD1.F2611-C15)

The DALI module is multi-master compatible. It is also possible to receive messages from other DALI masters on the same DALI line.
For older PCD systems (such as the PCD2.M170 or the PCD1.M1x5) a pure FBox solution using the SCI interface from Tridonic exists (SCI2 is not supported) .

The PCD2/3.F261 is not supported by PG5 1.4.

The PCD1.F2611-C15 is supported from PG5 2.1.410
