Does dewing harm PCD controllers?

FAQ #100482

In case the PCD is colder than the environment and the relative air humidity is high enough, it is possible that wather condensates on the PCD. This situation as well as the building of ice on the PCD is to be avoided scrupulously.

As dewing will cause corrosion and attacks the components of the controller, it must be considered that no condensation must take place also if the controller is not running (e.g. on stock before mounting them or while the machine is not running but stored).

How to avoid dewing?
If the PCD is used in a place where dewing cannot be avoided, the dewing must be prevented by e.g. permanently heating the device or placing the PCD into a airtight cabinet (where no humid air causing dewing can enter).
