Analysing Serial-S-Bus communication can be done in several ways, depending on the focus of analysis (what shall be analysed; the telegrams on the wire, the requests sent by a PC software or the signal levels of e.g. Rx/Tx).
It is possible capturing the traffic on a Ethernet network and stop this capture based on a specific condition, like e.g. the lack of Ether-S-Bus telegrams from a specific station for a certain time. However, this can't be done within Wireshark itself, but by using its command line tool TShark which is piped to a Perl script.

On a Profi S-Bus network when PCD7.D76_ terminals are connected to PCD3.Mxxx or PCD2.M480 PLC's over Profi S-Bus, the terminal loses the communication after some time and get even frozen. This problem is corrected in the new boot, FW and driver. The PCD8.D81 V 5.09 is needed , the attached files have to be copied in it (see procedure below). It is also necessary to update the PCD3.Mxxx and PCD2.M480 FW with the version PCD3.Mxxx_023.blk / PCD2.M480_$27 or newer! Ask the PCD technical support or your representation for it!

Due of an error on PG5 2.1.210, then IP-Node information is not stored correctly on the application program. This could lead to the situations that after a program download with PG5 2.1.210 the Ether-S-Bus communication doesn’t work anymore between some stations. To solve the problem, copy the attached file Spm52.exe (version 2.1.210.1 or higher) to the PG5 2.1.210 installation folder, compile again the concerned CPU and do load the concerned CPU to the PCD. This version will be included also in the next patch for PG5 2.1.210
