Why the fast counting module PCD3.H112 does not work at all?

Due of an issue on the production it’s possible that PCD3.H112 modules with fabrication date between calendar week 45/2020 and calendar week 06/2021 doesn’t work at all.

The fabrication date is printed on the sticker on the module and would be displayed as 2045 to 2106, marked in the red rectangle on the picture.

 

Affected modules:

• PCD3.H112 with fabrication date between 2045 and 2106 could be concerned from the issue
  
  
• PCD3.H112 module older than 2045 or newer then 2106 are not concerned
• PCD3.H114, PCD2.H112, PCD2.H114, PCDx.H112Z28 and PCDx.H114Z28 modules are not concerned from this issue

 

Symptom:

After powering on the PCD3.H112, the red CCO x LED is switched on.

On application level, no input signals from the input terminals Ax, Bx and Cx are recognized and therefore no counting is performed on the application program.

 

Solution:

The concerned PCD3.H112 modules needs to be replaced.

In the RMA form, note 'Advance exchange' with the remark 'CRABBMS-163' in the comment.

The affected PCD3.H112 modules will then be credited to you.
