What is the difference of the fixation set for MB Panels?

Since beginning 2012 the MB Panels are delivered with a new fixation set. While the old fixation set was based on a black plastic with a "hex key" (or Allen key) screw, the new one is based on a metallic part with a Torx screw.
What are the difference between the two fixation sets?
The main difference is the material (plastic / metal), the screw driver to be used (Allen key / Torx) and the size (a difference of 2 mm):
Remark
With the ordering number for a spare fixation set (4 109 4881 0) the "old" version will be shipped.
