CPU configuration (MPI address, clock memory byte, interrupt OBs, etc.) and network configuration (Profibus, Ethernet) takes place with Simatic Manager. Transferred CPU settings become effective with the transition from STOP->RUN. Addressing and configuration of I/O modules and SBC-specific CPU or interface settings take place with data blocks created using the I/O Builder software tool (available free-of-charge).
