New Saia®PCD7L79xN room controller for «Perfect Fit» automation
Preconfigured for delivery
The EEPROM memory of the PCD7.L79xN comes
preloaded with an application program for a typical
facility that can be used «out of the box».
Configurable application programme
If the preloaded application does not meet the re-
quirements of the project, the functional compo-
nents (FBoxes) contained in the Saia® PG5 engineer-
ing tool can be used to configure and activate the
application software for other types of facility. Seven
user programmes are available for different facilities
that can be activated by means of the integrator’s
configuration settings.
Thus the user can achieve
the «Basic Fit» status.
To achieve «Good Fit», the
controll parameters for the
specific application can be
customized and optimized.
Independent functionality even without bus
connection
Once the application program in the controller has
been configured, function is guaranteed, even with-
out connection to Saia® PCD. All configured settings
remain in place for years, even in the absence of a
power supply. Control continues uninterrupted even
if the connection to the Saia® PCD automation sta-
tion fails.
Direct control of the automation station
guarantees «Perfect Fit»
If the predefined applications are not sufficient to
achieve «Perfect Fit» room automation, the free out-
puts can be controlled in addition to independent
functionality by using an upstream Saia® PCD. It is
also possible to switch off the independent function-
ality of the room controller completely, and to con-
trol all inputs and outputs from the central Saia® PCD.
