To ensure that they are not lost and that the hardware clock (where present) continues to run when there is a power failure, the PCD3s are equipped with a buffer capacitor (SuperCap). Unfortunately the time has not been specified correctly in the manual 26/789 until version 11 of the manual. The duration is 4 hours and not 8 hours (after the SuperCap has been charged while 10 minutes).
