Swisscom does stop in 2014 the SMS service for analogue modems on the SMS service center number 079 499 89 90.

This FAQ is only for users which does use the SMS service from Swiss telecom provider Swisscom
where the service center 079 499 89 90 for analogue modem is used.
In 2014 the Swiss telecom provider Swisscom will stop the SMS service for analogue modem over the sms service center with the phone number 079 499 89 90
(used as CH-UCP protocol on the PG5 ‘call SMS’ F-Box)
The company ‘dolphin systems’ has take over the SMS service from Swisscom and has also taken over the phone number 0900 900 941 from Swisscom.
The number 0900 900 941 was used in the past also for the ‘CH-UCP ISDN’ protocol service in the ‘call SMS’
F-Box.
To be still able to send SMS from the PCD over an analogue modem, it’s necessary to use an other SMS service center phone number.
Instead to use the service center with the phone number 079 499 89 90 it’s necessary to use the
service center with the phone number 0900 900 941
What you have to do to be able to send SMS from a PCD over an analogue modem:
On the ‘call SMS’ F-Box replace the phone number in the field ‘Adjust Parameters’, ‘SMS Server’ from:
old 079 499 89 90 to
new 0900 900 941
All other adjust parameters don’t need to be modified.

The transmission of SMS over the ISDN modem with the ‘CH-UCP ISDN’ protocol is still possible over the service center with the phone number 0900 900 941
