Why can't I restore the original window positions in the Device Configurator?

FAQ #101307

When one of the window (Device Configurator and Fupla Editor PG5 2.0) has been moved in the middle (with the help of the arrows) it is impossible to move them back to their original position.

Symptom
After having moved the different windows in the device configurator or in fupla editor from PG5 2.0, it's no longer possible putting them back into the original position (in the Desktop Docking mode).

Reason
This problem is a bug; in order to work around this case, please apply the following procedure.

Solution
Delete all the files in the following directory

  • Windows Vista
    C:\Users\NameOfUser\AppData\Local\Saia-Burgess\PG5_20
(use the Windows Explorer and in "Tools" --> "Options" --> "View" select the option "Show hidden files and folders" first; in e.g. the Total Commander, you won't find the according folder)
  • Window XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\NameOfUser\Local Settings\Application Data\Saia-Burgess\PG5_20
(use the Windows Explorer and in "Tools" --> "Options" --> "View" select the option "Show hidden files and folders" first; in e.g. the Total Commander, you won't find the according folder)

Remark
This problem is eliminated in Service Pack 1 for PG5 2.0 (PG5 2.0.150).

The requested software / document is no longer marketed by Saia-Burgess Controls AG and without technical support. It is an older software version which can be operated only on certain now no longer commercially available products.
