Why does the MB panel has communication problems (serial communication)? General recommendations for serial communication

Problem
After upgrading the firmware to 1.08.52 or higher the serial communication works not properly anymore. The panel nearly blocks.

Reason
Since the panel is now faster the turnaround delay has to be adapted. The default turnaround delay is too small and will lead to collisions on the bus.

Solution
Adapt the TN and TS delay according to the following recommendations:

It is generally recommended to increase the response timeout to 350ms to avoid unnecessary repetitions.


Each defined communication is scanned. Therefore they will use ressources on the panel and have an influence on the performance. It is recommended to define only the connections that are really in use.
