Why is the Profi S-Link cable not working on the PCD3 / PCD2.M480?

Problem
The Profi S-Link cable is not working anymore with newer firmwares. PCD3.M5xxx: 018; PCD2.M480: 025. The LED's are not switched on. Communication is not possible at all.

 

Reason
Due to a firmware bug, the 24 V power supply which is needed for the communication over Profi S-Link is no more supported on Port 10.

Solution
In the next official firmwares the problem will be corrected. If you need a urgent fix, contact our support support@saia-pcd.com to get the latest bugfix versions. (PCD3: #1B or higher; PCD2.M480: #26 or higher)
