How can I connect Belimo MP-Bus modules to a Saia PCD®?
FAQ #100440
You will need the MP-Bus FBox Libary and a communication card supporting the Belimo MP Bus.
Library
The MP-BUS libary is available in Saia PG5® (look in the tab "application" of the FBox selector).
Hardware
The following cards do feature an interface to the MP bus from Belimo:
- PCD3.F281 (for PCD3.Mxxx0) and PCD2.F2810 (for PCD2.M5xx0)
These cards feature two interfaces for the MP bus per card and can be plugged into the I/O slots 0, 1, 2 or 3 of the PCD3 or PCD2.M5xx0. Several cards can be used on the same PCD system (--> up to 8 Belimo MP Bus channels per PCD system).
Please note that firmware version 1.10.16 or later for the PCD3 or PCD2.M5 is required when using these cards. - PCD2.T500
The PCD2.T500 card can be plugged into an I/O Slot of the PCD1 or PCD2. The PCD2.T500 connection module has two actuator branches (channel A and channel B) that can run both on one or two RS232 transmission interfaces (max. 16 actuators).
Be careful that the communication channel 1 has to be connected on PIN 2 and 3 (Rx1 / Tx1) and channel 2 has to be connected on PIN 0 and 1 (Rx2 / Tx2)
The RS 232 port dosen't has to be Full RS 232, reduced protocoll is sufficient. - PCD7.F180
The PCD7.F180 can be placed on Port A=Channel 1. No additional RS 232 interface is needed (max. 8 actuators).
