With the PCD2.M487, Profibus layers 1 + 2 are implemented as part of CPU FW. This allows an open, multi-protocol operation (e.g. HTTP; MPI and DP in parallel). Saia PCD® users therefore have seamless functional consistency and continuity between Profibus and Ethernet.
